When developing an application you want to test to see if it is working properly. In order to run tests you would need some data to check if there are any bugs. While you can make up the data on your own it would be tedious to or repetitive to make unique data. One way to get around this is to use the library known as Faker.
In order to use Faker first you need to add it to your Ruby application by running the command
gem install faker
After installing faker you need import it at the top of your file
After these steps faker can generate random strings or numbers depending on what you want. There are many different strings Faker can produce including games, names, addresses, phone number, color, etc. To find something specific to generate you can look at Fakers github:
